My Favorite Things about Wexford…
My good friend and previous client, Vonnie Johnson, has agreed to share with us some of the reasons she loves living in Wexford. Vonnie clearly is most enthusiastic about residing in this community. Although a resident for less than a year, she has quickly adjusted to the Wexford lifestyle. Many thanks to her for sharing her thoughts with us. “I love going through the gate at Wexford. The community is so different from every other plantation on the island. The winding streets, live oaks and palm trees, and stone bridges overlooking the harbor and lagoons create a peaceful and relaxing setting. The architecture and landscaping are unique to each home offering an interesting and pleasant drive throughout the area.
The amenities are fabulous here. You might compare Wexford living to staying in a private resort with an upscale and trendy lifestyle that makes every day a vacation adventure.
In many ways, I find living in Wexford a bit like being on a cruise ship. You can participate in as many activities as you like, choosing from numerous options, or you can enjoy privacy and quiet within your own home, if you want some down time.
The country club style living is great! The club serves as the community center. The people are friendly and welcoming and there are lots of social items on the calendar. Thursday night Happy Hour is a big social event every week. The Chef prepares some fantastic meals – some of the best on the island!
The golf and tennis facilities are like a five star resort. The clinics and social functions offer lots of opportunity for participation at all levels of play. Wexford owners may own private golf carts which are often the preferred method of transportation within the community.
In addition to having so much inside the plantation, some of the best beaches, restaurants, and island activities are less than five minutes away. It’s hard to imagine that all of this is so convenient, because inside the gates, there is an atmosphere of serenity far removed from the island happenings.
Honestly, I wouldn’t live in any other community on Hilton Head Island. We found our dream home and neighborhood and I feel blessed every day to call Wexford home!”
