Today’s Bluffton real estate spotlight focuses on Berkeley Hall. Berkeley Hall is a private golf community located on the mainland and it is totally residential. It has excellent amenities and offers convenience to all of the wonderful activities that Bluffton has to offer.
My Favorite Things about Berkeley Hall…
Again, I have asked two good friends to assist me in presenting this article. The first is Mary Briggs, CEO and President of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra. She has lived in Berkeley Hall for two and a half years and has been a member for 6 years. David and Nicole are a young couple who have purchased a property with fabulous views. While they were doing their search, they pointed out several reasons why Berkeley Hall became the community of choice. They are not residing here presently, but their insight might be of value to you in your decision making process.
Mary: “This is a top notch community. The common areas and facilities are beautiful and incredibly well maintained.” The clubhouse resembles an old southern plantation house and is impressive at first glance. The golf courses are legendary and Berkeley Hall likely has the best golf learning center in the area. For residents interested in fitness, the fitness center offers trainers and classes in a comfortable environment. The spa services are great! While I do not play tennis, there are also lessons and inter-club activities available.
“It is the staff of Berkeley Hall that impressed us initially and continue to contribute to our belief that we are members of a community that cares about everyone living in it. From the security staff at the gate who always warmly welcome us back as we head home after being away, to the spa staff, to the golf pros, and the entire clubhouse staff, everyone is friendly, courteous and conscientious.”
As you can see, there is much to love about this area. My husband, Mike and I “feel fortunate to call Berkeley Hall home.”
David: My first experience in Berkeley Hall was staying in one of the golf cottages. It offered a chance to live within the Berkeley Hall community and learn what it might be like to live here. We had a very good impression.

We have a young daughter who was with us during our stays at Berkeley Hall. We ate at the club on a number of occasions and the staff was always very kind to us and our daughter. “It was important that we were well received as a family.”
While I have little time for golf at this point in my life, it is good to know that the courses are highly regarded. The fitness center is great with hours that match into my lifestyle.
Berkeley Hall has some exceptional views which is very important to us. We found a location, view and lifestyle that we could look forward to enjoying some day. Meanwhile, we can always visit and stay in one of the cottages to dream about the possibilities ahead.
