The 83 year old legend, Pete Dye, recently visited Colleton River Plantation to educate a small group of members and staff on adapting his design to today’s game.  It was also very important to him to archive his vision and philosophy so that the integrity of the course is maintained.

After riding the course for over five hours, Mr. Dye confirmed that his design at Colleton River remains “the best course I have ever built”.  Those who were present quickly agreed.  The Dye Course at Colleton River is memorable to all of those fortunate enough to play it.
