Formerly of Dayton, Ohio Darle acquired her real estate license in 1969, followed by her broker's license in 1971 when she became owner of her first real estate company. She is a graduate of Valparaiso University in Indiana. Majors in Mathematics and Business with an Education minor prepared her for her career in real estate.

Darle was always a top sales leader in the community and because of her unique and diverse background was chosen to teach many real estate courses at the community college and Board of Realtors. In addition to her long-term real estate career, she owned and actively participated in successful construction and land development companies. Darle has been a Hilton Head Island property owner since 1980 and a full time resident since 1991. She has personally owned numerous rental properties and second homes in the area prior to making the Island her year round residence.
