Sea Pines Real Estate and Information

Hilton Head Island, SC

Sea Pines real estate at Harbour Town

Sea Pines Plantation has set the standard for the preservation and planning of residential communities. By following this plan, the homes and recreational facilities blend seamlessly with the woodlands and wetlands. Not only has this standard been followed throughout the Hilton Head and Bluffton area, but it has also been copied worldwide. Prices for Sea Pines real estate range from modestly priced to upper tier priced oceanfront homes.

Within the gates of this 5,000 acre community are homes and villas featuring a wide range of views including oceanfront, golf, wooded, and marsh views. The lighthouse at the Harbour Town marina is one of the most photographed landmarks in the country, and the Harbour Town Golf Links plays host to the annual PGA RBC Heritage golf tournament.

Additional amenities within Sea Pines include an equestrian center, over 40 miles of biking and jogging trails, beach club, numerous tennis courts and tennis facilities, bird sanctuaries, nature preserves, garden plots, and more.

Sea Pines Real Estate: The Neighborhood

In keeping with the philosophy of harmonizing with nature, all structures are designed to blend with their environment. Residential neighborhoods consist of single homes overlooking golf courses, lagoons, marshes, deep water or the Atlantic Ocean. Houses may be nestled in deep-wooded clusters as well as impressive estate-size structures with ocean views. Villas, primarily for short-term use, are scattered throughout the community. Most have access to tennis facilities and pools. Sea Pines real estate offers something for everyone in almost any price tier.

The Golf Courses of Sea Pines Plantation

Atlantic Dunes – Hilton Head’s first golf course was built in 1962 to lure dedicated golfers – and it hasn’t lost its appeal. Set in the heart of Sea Pines Plantation amidst towering oaks and stately pines, this layout was recently redesigned by Davis Love III.

Heron Point – Formerly the Marsh Course, in 2007 this layout received a complete remake from legendary designer Pete Dye.

Harbour Town Golf Links – “Masterpiece” is the perfect word to describe this piece of golf perfection. Here, beside the lovely shores of the Calibogue Sound, lies this world-class golf course that Pete Dye, in consultation with Jack Nicklaus, designed in 1969. “Unique” is another word that depicts this layout. The home of the PGA Tour’s “Heritage of Golf” Classic.

Darle's Insight
The nostalgia of the island for many begins at Sea Pines. Generations of families have been enjoying the foresight of Charles Fraser so many years ago. It is beautiful with extraordinary beaches and truthfully, not much has changed. Greg Russell still sings under the oak tree in Harbour Town and visitors and locals enjoy the extensive biking and jogging trails within. For vacationers, there is so much to do that some never leave Sea Pines for their entire vacation. There is something for everyone from permanent residences to second homes to vacation rentals. Golf, tennis, and more.
